Last year we got confirmation that Motive Studios (the studio behind the great Star Wars Squadrons) was working on a Resident Evil 2-style remake for Dead Space. Built from the ground up using Frostbite it's currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. And we're getting a new Dead Space Remake Developer Livestream this weekend.

Which for us in Australia is at 5am on March 12, so we'll be sure to watch it at a more reasonable brekky hour. Here's the link, which includes a very cool in-engine teaser.

As for what we'll see, that's up in the air but we're assuming there'll be gameplay snippets. Not to mention some limb snippets. The official word regarding this and all livestreams for Dead Space Remake is that they'll focus on "early looks at development and what goes into the remake of a game".

Dead Space is an all-timer for us at AusGamers, so we're definitely excited to see how it's shaping up. For more on Dead Space be sure to check out our massive deep dive feature on the game -- Dissecting Dead Space - A Revisit to the USG Ishimura with Co-Creator Michael Condrey.
