Evil Dead The Game
was originally on track for a release in February, with the developers taking to social media over the weekend to announce a new release date - Friday the 13th of May, 2022. "When we set out to create a brand new game worthy of the Evil Dead franchise, we knew it had to be groovy as hell," writes the update. "In order to deliver the best possible experience, Evil Dead: The Game is now coming on May 13, 2022."
So yeah, delayed due to reasons of polish, with the team adding that it needs the additional time to get things right. Featuring Bruce Campbell and stars from all of the Evil Dead films and the TV series, this looks to be a faithful adaptation of the classic horror comedy franchise. As per the description from the game's announcement the setup is co-op horror with a dash of asymmetrical multiplayer.
Work together as a team of four survivors, exploring, looting, crafting, managing your fear, and finding key artifacts to seal the breach between worlds. Or take control of the powerful Kandarian Demon to hunt Ash and his friends while possessing Deadites, the environment, and even the survivors themselves as you seek to swallow their souls.
A new trailer and info is expected this month so stay tuned. Evil Dead The Game is currently in development for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
