With Sony lifting the lid on the technical specs for PlayStation VR2 today (weirdly without any imagery) we've also got our first game announcement with Horizon Call of the Mountain. A Horizon spin-off "designed to push hardware technology, innovation, and gameplay".

Here's the teaser which features some impressive 4K VR imagery near the end. Yeah, getting to see some giant robo-dinosaurs up close in VR is going to be awesome.

Horizon Call of the Mountain, created for PlayStation’s Next-Gen VR hardware, is an upcoming brand-new adventure in the world of Horizon. Embrace a new level of immersion in an unique experience, designed to push hardware technology, innovation, and gameplay.

Horizon Call of the Mountain is being developed by Guerrilla and Firespite, with Guerrilla of course currently putting the final touches on PS5 exclusive Horizon Forbidden West which is set to hit PS5 on February 18.

Details are a little slim but Horizon Call of the Mountain will put you in the virtual shoes of a new character, though you'll get to meet Aloy and other faces from the mainline titles. It will also take full advantage of the new PS VR2 Sense controllers and 4K capabilities of PSVR2 and PS5 hardware.
