Charting the rise of Xbox and covering the highs and lows (including the infamous Red Ring of Death), Power On: The Story of Xbox is a new in-depth docu-series streaming now.

Here's the first part which outlines the creation of the DirectX Box and how it might have been Sony talking up the PlayStation 2 as a PC killer that helped push Microsoft into the console business.

Created in partnership with Microsoft this is a wonderful slice of history and easily one of the better produced videogame documentaries out there. All six parts are currently on YouTube so be sure to check it out.
