id Software is hiring, as is the way with studios creating high-quality AAA experiences. id Software of course is the studio behind DOOM, Quake, Wolfenstein, and Rage. So when it's looking for people to help shape a new game in a 'long-running iconic Action FPS' series... well, the mind wanders.

With id Software looking for concept artists and gameplay designers -- could it be the return of Quake? Another Rage? Is Commander Keen considered an iconic Action FPS? For all we know this could be in reference to the next DOOM, which would be a follow-up to the brilliant DOOM Eternal.

The mention of "sci-fi and fantasy" points to that, but then again those elements are a part of Quake too. And hey, with the recent release of Quake Remastered we're all for getting a Quake 5 of some sort in the future.
