Which will join the Specialists that were announced alongside Battlefield 2042's reveal bringing the total to 10. DICE gave full details on the remaining five coming at launch, and they're equipped with gadgets like a wingsuit, special grenades, a ballistic shield, and some fancy hacking tool for disrupting the action.

NAVIN RAO

Trait: Trojan Network
Scramble enemy vehicle systems, disable Rangers, or trigger base defences from a distance. Also, Hack into enemy systems for valuable intel.
SANTIAGO "DOZER" ESPINOZA
Place of Birth: Mexico
Class: Assault
Specialty: SOB-8 Ballistic Shield
Trait: Blast Resistant
Use a shield as a battering ram, protection from incoming fire, and for closing the gap on enemies. An Assault Specialist extra resiliant to explosive damage.
EMMA "SUNDANCE" ROSIER
Place of Birth: France
Class: Assault
Specialty: Smart Explosives
Trait: Wingsuit
From scatter grenades to micro-drones, if something needs to go "boom". Sundance also deploys a wingsuit instead of a chute.
CONSTANTIN "ANGEL" ANGHEL
Place of Birth: Romania
Class: Support
Specialty: Loadout Crate
Trait: Trauma Specialist
A supply expert to keep his squad armoured and topped up with ammo. Can also call in a beacon to allow for a loadout swap. Angel can revive an ally with their bonus armour healtrh filled.
JI-SOO PAIK
Place of Birth: South Korea
Class: Recon
Specialty: EMG-X Scanner
Trait: Threat Perception
A scanner that makes enemies visible, even through walls. Threat percetion means Pak can tirangular on a shooter when taking damage.
With the recent Open Beta, DICE notes that it listening to feedback around Specialists. "During the Open Beta we heard some feedback that Specialists were limiting team work, and we wanted to address this concern head-on," DICE notes. "There were multiple factors in play during the Open Beta that we feel contributed to the perception of how the Specialists role contributes to squad play in Battlefield 2042. First, we recognise that numerous improvements to the user interface, identifying between friend and foe, the ping system, and in-game team communication that were missing during the Open Beta are vital to team play."
