It's been five years since Sony introduced VR to the console-space, and in that time it's seen a number of great VR experiences arrive on PS4. Celebrating the milestone Sony is announcing today that from November PlayStation Plus subscribers will be receiving three PlayStation VR games for no extra charge. Which will be on top of the existing PS5 and PS4 offerings.
In PSVR stats we've learned that over 500 VR games and experiences have been released with the most popular being: Rec Room, Beat Saber, PlayStation VR Worlds, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR, and Resident Evil 7 Biohazard.
As per the video above there are of course more PSVR titles coming, and PSVr is full backwards compatible with the PlayStation 5. And with five years down, Sony isn't backing away from all-things virtual. The company has confirmed that PSVR successor is in the works for PS5 that will support inside-out tracking, a higher-resolution display, and dedicated motion controllers.
