With Twitch confirming the hack noting, "our teams are working with urgency to understand the extent of this". The breach, which originated on 4chan, is reported to contain a wealth of data from the platform including source code, account information, and earnings for all streamers. Based on early reports it's shaping up to be one of the biggest data breaches we've seen to date.

Reports began to surface last night before Twitch's statement below, with the hacker in question citing Twitch's toxic culture as a reason for the hack.

Of course, for all Twitch users, changing and updating passwords and two-factor authentication is advised -- with the breach reportedly including data and information going all the way back to the very beginning of the streaming platform. In fact a 125GB Torrent of the data is floating around, which again, points to this being one of the most significant hacks of all time.
