Perfect Dark is set to be the first game from Xbox mega studio
The Initiative, a reboot that is described as a "first-person spy thriller". As per
the announcement from last year it's set in a near-future Egypt where corporations have created a seemingly idyllic society. Today comes word that Tomb Raider studio Crystal Dynamics is lending a hand.
With The Initiative making the announcement via social media.
Xbox Games Studios has a close relationship with Crystal Dynamics, with the excellent Rise of the Tomb Raider being an Xbox console exclusive at launch. Although we don't know the reasoning for the collaboration, as a brand-new mega studio The Initiative has key members who worked on the critically acclaimed Tomb Raider reboot. So odds are this is to kick start development in the current work from home environment.
As for the game itself, a follow-up post notes that it's still very early in development. Meaning it could be quite a while before we see gameplay.
