And it's out now on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store. From Dark Crystal Games and Prime Matter (aka Koch) Encased features a story set in an alternate 1970s after "humanity discovers The Dome, a giant zone left by an unknown civilization colloquially known as The Forefathers". In terms of presentation it's all isometric turn-based action ala the original Fallout.
As an RPG the setup here sounds very cool too as you'll choose from one disciplines to play as (see: class) - science, engineering, security, management, or convict. And from there roam the wasteland, find companions, and interact with the game's six factions. With the option to play a low-intelligence run or go complete pacifist, developer Dark Crystal Games has created Encased with multiple playthroughs in mind.
Here's the launch trailer.
Key features of the game:
Turn-based tactical combat
An extensive system of skills, abilities, and perks
Six opposing factions
Random encounters both on locations and while traversing the global map
Systemic interaction with the world around you
Play as a lone wolf or recruit companions
Stealth, crime, and reputation systems
Weapon crafting and upgrades
Survival elements
