Fittingly called Age of Doom this mod asks the question, "Do you want to play Doom inside of Age of Empires?" No doubt, the answer to that question is "Hell Yes" and with that, thanks to porting sprites and sounds from the original Doom (1993) in addition to stuff from Doom 3. Anyway, it presents the classic first-person shooter as an isometric action game within Age of Empire 2.

Here's a look at it in action. Fittingly, all of it takes place in the 'Dark Age'.



Age of Doom features an original five episode campaign to play-through with a story based on the original Doom and Doom 3. Four of the five are playable right now, alongside a tutorial, so for those keen to check it out be sure to head to the moddb page for Age of Doom.
