Marvel's Midnight Suns is the collaboration between the team behind XCOM 2 (Firaxis Games) and Marvel. As per our preview, and yesterday's gameplay trailer, we've learned a lot about how it's creating its own tactical RPG feel with player's in control of their own team of superheroes. Today we've got a new deep dive trailer that outlines the darker setting, the card/ability-based combat, and the RPG progression.

Plus a look at creating your own hero with The Hunter.

And it all looks fantastic, with great cinematic angles and animation to highlight abilities during battles. Also, the focus on attacking multiple enemies and using abilities with the environment definitely opens the door to serious tactics. Check it out.

The card stuff looks cool and seems to be more of a way to create builds for heroes as opposed to something completely different for a tactical game, and being to upgrade them and unlock new cards via relationships adds a distinct flavour over standard skill trees. We're keen to play this one, here's hoping there's a chance to do so ahead of its planned March 2022 release on all platforms.
