A new partnership with the RARA (Reno Air Racing Association) is bringing what's being described as the "world’s fastest motorsport" to Microsoft Flight Simulator. On the account of planes being a lot faster than cars (800+ km/hour), with the aircraft looking to be customised for a brand new Reno Air Races expansion bringing competitive multiplayer to the sim.

Available later this year, the Reno Air Races expansion pack might be the first bit of paid-DLC for the game. Here's a teaser.



Coming for free, and on September 7, is World Update VI - covering Germany, Austria and Switzerland. With brand-new 3D cities and more detailed environments recreated from aerial imagery and high-resolution elevation maps it brings a new level of detail to several locations. Around 100 locations have been hand-crafted by the team including several airports.
