The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is not only one of the most beloved and played RPGs of all-time, it's one of the most replayed. From Special Editions to countless modding potential, Skyrim is malleable and then some. As per this new video from YouTube channel Digital Dreams (who also gave us Breath of the Wild in 8K) we get to see a fully decked out Tamriel.

With a custom real-time ray-tracing reshade offering up impressive global illumination on top of 500+ other mods. Check it out.

No doubt it looks very different compared to vanilla Skyrim, with some of it feeling a tad too saturated - but it's impressive to see the 2011 hit looking like a tech demo or a cutting-edge next-gen remake. And that it's running as smooth as it is with that many mods.

Bonkers. Is this people making all new high res assets for the game? Or is just some magic scaling that something is doing?
