Yeah,
Grand Theft Auto V surpassing the 150 million sales milestone, cementing its position as one of -- if not
the -- most popular games of all-time. Early this year we reported on the 140-million milestone, which means it's sold 10-million since then. All but ensuring its position on the best-selling games of 2021 list. This comes from the latest
Take-Two financial call where we also learn that
2K has a big reveal planned for later this month.
Which lines up with the all-digital Gamescom. “Later this month, 2K will unveil details of another exciting new franchise planned for launch during this fiscal year,” Take-Two president Karl Slatoff said in the call. The fiscal year ends March 31, 2022 so it's anyone's guess what this could be. It will join Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, which is described as "a new franchise from 2K and Gearbox" -- so it could be based on an existing 2K property. A Mafia spin-off perhaps? That was a random guess, so if it does turn out to be that... well, look out Nostradamus.
On the Tiny Tina front we're yet to see extended gameplay from the fantasy Borderlands spin-off so here's hoping that's also on the cards for Gamescom. Geoff Keighley’s Gamescom: Opening Night Live is set to broadcast ahead of the show on August 25.
