The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is a new stealth-action adventure from Daedalic Entertainment and as per the title it puts you in the Lord of the Rings universe as Gollum. This one was announced way back in 2019, so getting an update on its progress is definitely very welcome.

In a new developer video we get to see how the adventure will play out, and it's mix of stealth and platforming. Though describing Gollum's movements as parkour-like is a little strange.

In this action-adventure game combining stealth and parkour, you play as one of the most complicated and iconic characters created by J.R.R Tolkien. Tormented and constantly switching between two personalities, Gollum is a different type of "hero" and the central character in this story that takes him from Mordor to the depths of Moria.

With the game on track for a late 2022 release on PC, PS4/PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch - this is our first real look at how it might play-out. Although the gameplay snippets are exactly that, snippets, the various locations and character models look to be striking a blend between the literary source and the films.
