Apologies for that little E3 Hype Deflator Salvo but with
Koch Media set to be having its own Koch Primetime E3 stream on Saturday (
check times here) we've got word from
Deep Silver (a part of Koch) that many of its most exciting properties won't be making an appearance.
Or at any other E3 2021 event.
Timesplitters we understand, as the
recent announcement made it clear that the newly formed studio of Free Radical vets is still in the process of kicking off development.
Dead Island 2 on the other hand, has been in development for so many years it's essentially the modern day version of
Duke Nukem Forever. Is it still coming? Apparently so, but it won't be making an appearance this weekend.
The big disappointment, at least for us here at AusGamers, is the lack of new
Saints Row info. As far as we can tell, Volition has been working on whatever the new Saints Row is for quite sometime. And we were kind of hoping that we'd get to see it in action.
And to top it all off, we won't be getting a glimpse of the follow-up to
Metro Exodus either. This isn't to say that the Koch E3 showcase will be light on games, games, games -- the publisher has a number of studios and companies under its umbrella, so expect a slew of announcements. Just not the ones mentioned here.
