Out next month, on May 25 to be exact, Biomutant from publisher THQ Nordic is a game we've been keeping an eye on for a while -- and with the latest trailer it's not hard to see why. Featuring a vibrant open-world, a colourful post-apocalyptic setting with animals and a story that's described as a "kung-fu fable", it's certainly looking very cool.

And different too, with shades of Zelda and even more combat-focused titles like Ghost of Tsushima or Assassin's Creed. Be sure to check it out as all the footage we see ehre was captured in-game.

BIOMUTANT is an open-world, post-apocalyptic Kung-Fu fable RPG, with a unique martial arts styled combat system allowing you to mix melee, shooting and mutant ability action.

A plague is ruining the land and the Tree-of-Life is bleeding death from its roots. The Tribes stand divided. Explore a world in turmoil and define its fate – will you be its saviour or lead it to an even darker destiny?

For those wanting a look at the combat -- there's a specific combat trailer you can watch.
