The Epic Games Store shows no sign of slowing down the freebies, with this week bringing a couple of gems -- the sci-fi terror of playing the gneuinely creepy Alien: Isolation as well as the underrated goodness of the locally grown Hand of Fate 2.

Both are currently free to add to your library -- and you can get them now via the Epic Games Store.

Odds are you've probably heard about or seen Alien: Isolation in action, an experience that puts you in the cinematic setting of being hunted by a single xenomorph and having to hide in vents, under tables, or in lockers. Hoping that you aren't seen or heard -- it's tense, exciting, and features some brilliant and moody sound design to go with its on-point visuals.

As for Hand of Fate 2 calling it underrated isn't a term we throw out lightly, as per our original review, "This is a Roguelike-esque experience with cards. It’s not a CCG. It has combat and puzzle-solving, it employs a greater emphasis on player-input on the chance portion of the game (either a narrative ruse concocted to bring “The Dealer” even more to life, or a happy coincidence), and it’s ever-playable. In fact, if you want a game that’s going to engage you over and over again -- with player-invested differentials -- I can’t recommend Hand of Fate 2 enough."
