As part of the most recent Oculus Games Showcase we got a glimpse at Resident Evil 4 VR in action -- which as per the title recreates the classic action-horror game as a VR experience. With the entire game now played in first person with full touch controls (and dual-wielding) and VR movement.

That is analogue or teleportation-style movement.

With all in-game assets touched up for VR, in addition to the new inventory system that sees weapons strapped to Leon's body for quick VR access -- this is shaping up to be a pretty substantial re-interpretation of Capcom's Nintendo GameCube-era classic. Although the trailer only offers snippets of gameplay there's no mistaking this for anything other than Resident Evil 4.

No release date has been set other than "later this year".
