Having crashed and bashed our way through the original, then the re-release which, while fun, does show its age a little in areas like the game's camera and a few twerky control inputs, it's still almost impossible to deny the human-destroying and fear-inducing fun of the base game. In celebration of all things 50s-themed where aliens and UFOs are concerned, Destroy All Humans! will be 50% off between February 24 (5AM AEDT) through to Feb 27.
One giant step on mankind! Destroy All Humans! is a cult classic and one of the few games that will have you laughing out loud. Many games have taken inspiration from its mix of humoristic story-telling and easily accessible open world shooter action, as well as its wide range of over-the-top weaponry. But there can only be one Cryptosporidium: the human-hating alien with the voice of an angry Jack Nicholson and a shorter fuse than a xenomorph on steroids.
Step right up and enjoy the show! Only Destroy All Humans! allows you to explore idyllic US cities of the 1950s, read the thoughts of their citizens to uncover their secret desires… and then burn the very same cities to the ground with the mighty Death Ray of your flying saucer!

GAME TRIVIA - Did You Know?
The title "Metroid" for Nintendo's much-loved sci fi series, wasn't the original game's first choice title? Being initially developed as the 'super imaginative' (read: sarcastic) Space Hunter, the final piece of the puzzle came when Hiroji Kiyotake and Yoshio Sakamoto, along with another staffer combined "android" and "metro" (as in the subway) to form the portmanteau "Metroid".
