Rare's GoldenEye 007 for the Nintendo 64 from 1997 is without a doubt a classic -- and a milestone release in the FPS genre. With its memorable objective-driven campaign and stellar multiplayer it's a game many want to see remastered. Which, almost happened on the Xbox 360 but got cancelled due to licensing issues. Well, that build has now appeared online and presents a fully-playable version of GoldenEye remastered for Xbox.

New broke of its existence after YouTuber 'Graslu00' posted the following impressive '00 Agent' difficulty playthrough of the Xbox 360 remake.

Since then a beta build of the cancelled project has appeared online, where alongside an Xbox 360 emulator you can now play a remastered version of GoldenEye 007 on PC in full. Having tested it out earlier, yeah, it's awesome -- and you can seamlessly switch between the original and new graphics via a press a button. Even multiplayer is supported -- so you know, weekend sorted.
