With or without ray-tracing the Minecraft Middle-Earth project is nothing short of amazing, a collaborative project that has been recreating the entirety of The Lord of the Rings Middle-Earth setting in Minecraft. It's been going on for 11-years -- yeah, amazing.

Today comes a cool new video showcasing the Gondor (i.e human) capital of Minas Tirith in all of its Minecraft with RTX glory. Check it out.

As one of the most densely packed cities in all of Middle-Earth this is a great showcase for real-time ray-tracing and the sheer creative possibilities of Minecraft -- with impressive lighting and scale aplenty.
