With the release of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S we're now in the beginning of a new generation of Xbox consoles -- with 2021 looking to be the first full calendar year for Microsoft's next-gen combo. One the of the big question marks surrounding the launch has been that of exclusive games, and today Microsoft has provided a list of games coming exclusively to Xbox in 2021*.

The list is fairly extensive, covering big titles and several highly anticipated indie games. There are a couple of exceptions though, with Microsoft listing the now first-party Psychonauts 2 even though it will be a multi-platform release. Plus, The Yakuza Remastered Collection and Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, which will be making their Xbox Game Pass debut is also available elsewhere.

Most of these titles will also be releasing on PC, but as console exclusives it's a pretty impressive list.
The Ascent – 2021
The Big Con – 2021
CrossfireX – 2021
Dead Static Drive – 2021
Echo Generation – 2021
ExoMecha – 2021
Exo One – 2021
The Gunk – 2021
Halo Infinite – 2021
The Last Stop – 2021
Lake – 2021
Little Witch in the Woods – 2021
The Medium – January 28
Microsoft Flight Simulator – Summer 2021
Psychonauts 2 – 2021
RPG Time – 2021
Sable – 2021
Scorn – 2021
She Dreams Elsewhere – 2021
Shredders – 2021
Song of Iron – 2021
Tunic – 2021
Twelve Minutes – 2021
Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer’s Legacy – 2021
Warhammer 40K: Darktide – 2021
Way to the Woods – 2021
The Wild at Heart – 2021
The Yakuza Remastered Collection – January 28 / Yakuza 6: The Song of Life – March 25

No doubt the big first-party release here is Halo Infinite, which is now due for release later this year. What's great though is that there's a number of original titles worth getting excited for. Remedy's single-player campaign for CrossFireX, the co-op action of Warhammer 40K: Darktide, the top-down Zelda-like Tunic, the cyberpunk action-RPG The Ascent, and the survival horror of The Medium -- which is out later this month.

Plus, there's the console debut of Microsoft Flight Simulator this winter -- which sees the popular PC game make its console debut. Something of a first for hardcore flight sims, but also a release that is one of the most technically impressive and immersive games ever made.
