A year ago, this very past weekend,
we got to play Diablo IV after witnessing its epic reveal at
BlizzCon 2019. Sadly, there's no BlizzCon this calendar year because of, well, this calendar year - but the digital replacement
BlizzConline is set to take place over February 19-20, 2021.
And as part of a new fireside chat video featuring Blizzard president J. Allen Brack - we learn that the event will be free for everyone to tune in, whilst hinting at some of the things we might see.
Bolstered by some awesome stats around community engagement in World of Warcraft too - with the next expansion Shadowlands out later this month there has been over 10 million visits to the in-game barbershop. Proving that how you look when you enter the afterlife is as important as anything else.
Interestingly the video above gives us an update on the for-mobile Diablo Immortal with confirmation that the game has been play-tested by the majority of Blizzard staff and we should expect to hear more about it soon. On that note we wouldn't be surprised if the game got a surprise launch as a part of BlizzCon - aka BlizzConline in February. And with Diablo IV, Overwatch 2, and other unannounced projects touched on - no doubt it should be a pretty big event for Blizzard fans.
