Far Cry 6, after its recent reveal, was on track for release February 18, 2021 across current-gen and next-gen. Overnight Ubisoft announced that both Far Cry 6 and the still-without-a-date Rainbow Six Quarantine have been pushed back to the next fiscal year which runs from April 2021 through March 2022.

In the case of Far Cry the official Twitter account posted the following.

Which states, "While we know you are all anxious to get your hands on Far Cry 6, we want to let you know that we've been given more time to allow us to make this game you aspire to play while focusing on the well being of our teams in this unprecedented global context." Pointing to the ongoing global pandemic as the reasoning behind the move. Adding, "Our teams around the world are working in the studios and from their homes to pour their passion and creativity into making an unforgettable game - one we hope you will love."

No new date has been set, which is good news in that it'll be ready when its ready.
