With Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity looking like its set to nail the beauty of Breath of the Wild with the insane action of Hyrule Warriors (aka Koei Tecmo's Dynasty Warriors spin on The Legend of Zelda). With the ten minutes or so of gameplay captured as part of the Tokyo Game Show, we also get to see how this injects more story into the Hyrule Warriors series.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is set 100 years before the events of Breath of the Wild and features a roster of legendary heroes (including Link and Zelda) as they face-off against Calamity Ganon. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity presents a close knit collaboration between Koei Tecmo and Nintendo. The gameplay also showcases some of the physics based elements from BOTW - including the bombs and other items - so it's great to see that the action looks like it belongs in the same universe.

And as seen in this new story trailer, this Breath of the Wild prequel is looking gorgeous.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity launches November 20 for Nintendo Switch.
