Which according to this calendar labelled "2020" is next week. After months of speculation, chip packet leaks, and other rumours the next installment in the Call of Duty franchise has been formally announced and it's Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. Which based on the 'Know Your History' teaser, deals with that time when the Russians and The Americans played war games on a devastating global scale.



The story and setting (exact timeline is still up in the air) will deal with the real-world story of Pereseus, a Soviet spy that apparently breached U.S. intelligence at the highest level. In that they apparently stole plans for a little known weapon called the Atomic Bomb... kicking off the arms race and what subsequently became known as the Cold War.

Now the questions be... will it be released this year, as is the Activision way with the annual franchise? Will it get a next-gen polish? Answers next week!
