Which makes Fall Guys publisher Devolver Digital's most successful launch ever, and a very cool thing for developer Mediatonic's vibrant It' A Knockout meets Takeshi's Castle multiplayer party jam.

That success of course has not been without an issue or two, but it does explain why -- since launching on August 4 -- there has been server downtime. In fact it's one of the reasons our review has been delayed... though the consensus out there has been mostly positive among fans, critics, and content creators.

“It has been overwhelming and humbling to watch the launch and reception of Fall Guys. We're incredibly grateful to all of our players for their support and have big plans for the game in the future,” beamed Mediatonic’s Co-Founder & Chief Games Officer, Paul Croft. “We're thrilled by the response and can’t quite believe how beloved our little jelly beans have already become!”

A comment that's not only great to see, but confirms that the Fall Guys are delicious jelly beans. And perhaps, this runaway success needs to be stopped. Jokes aside, Fall Guys is wonderful -- a great jump-in multiplayer game that captures the party-like feel of something like Mario Party but on a grander scale. Plus, it's bright and colourful look make it the perfect game to counteract the Unreal Engine 3-era browns and greys that has been 2020.

Fall Guys is also available on PlayStation 4 where it's currently free for PS Plus subscribers.

Played this last night for the first time, and loved it. A great controller-swap couch experience for PS4 owners, but looks like it's slaying on PC as well.
