With DUSK's David Szymanski joining Dillon Rogers to create what looks to be a homage to the freedom and exploration of classic first-person stealth titles like Thief. Featuring an authentic '90s and early 2000s look you'll get to explore a Victorian metropolis with a cane sword and a trusty bag of goodies. And by "you'll get" we mean it, as Gloomwood has a playable demo you check out right now.
But first, the stylish trailer.
Explore An intricate, hand-crafted city with freeform exploration - from towering rooftops down to hidden passages, the routes you take and paths you make, are your choice.
A Detailed stealth and sound system that tracks your light visibility and propagates noise accurately through the world. Tread lightly. Or prepare to get loud.
Scavenge A unique arsenal to meet any situation - a stealthy canesword, six-shot revolver, folding shotgun, hand-placed traps, rope-slinging harpoon rifle and more.
In-depth player interactivity, from leaning to eavesdrop, peeking through door cracks, checking the remaining bullets in your firearms and mantling onto ledges. The town is full of objects to pick up, throw, climb and smash and use to your advantage.
Survive A mob of ghastly denizens and monsters with acute senses, like the sharp-clawed Crowmen and the fearsome, cadaver-seeking Corpse Duster.
No release date has been set, but be sure to head to the Steam Page to grab the demo and add this to your wish-list. New Blood Interactive's track record is solid enough that's for sure, and DUSK was brilliant.
