Hitting the sub-$3,000 AUD sweet spot the latest "mid-range" gaming laptops from Gigabyte - AORUS 5 vB and AORUS 7 vB - are focusing on the things that count - performance and presentation. The latter of which comes in the form of a 144Hz IPS display as standard, with the former coming from the one-two punch of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics and the 10th Generation Intel Core i7-10750H boosted to 5GHz.

Which is impressive for a laptop, and is all due to Gigabyte's WINDFORCE cooling tech that allows for 150W of total power to drive the CPU and GPU when it comes to gaming.

“We focus on producing exceptional visual experiences, at the same time, providing performance- seeking gamers, visceral feel, visually immersive and highly responsive gaming experience. Not to mention the value and affordability that these flagship laptops offer for users who use their laptops throughout the work day and game at night.”, says Steven Chen, Gigabyte Mobility Business Center Vice President.

Citing the dual nature of gaming laptops, where a device for work can become one for play is something that has seen the sector explode in recent years. And an area where companies like NVIDIA (who's technology is featured across the Gigabyte range) has been at the forefront.

Here are the specs for the two models, with the difference coming down to screen size.
