We were impressed by the unique off-road driving of Spintires: Mudrunner back in 2017, and the sequel - SnowRunner - is something we've been playing quite a bit of in recent weeks.

Before our full review drops be sure to check out the latest developer video which is all about tips for driving through all that mud. And snow.

If the original game was proof of concept then SnowRunner takes it all to the next level thanks to massive open-world maps to explore, countless missions to undertake, and several real-world vehicles and trucks to unlock and customise. With the addition of towers to activate, that reveals nearby locations and activities, there's also a "Ubisoft open-world game" feel to exploration. And on that front with crazy Eastern European trucks you've never heard of and the ability to deck out a rig with a snorkel - SnowRunner is a driving, racing, sim, unlike any other.
