A milestone worth celebrating, especially as Microsft
hasn't been reporting on actual Xbox
hardware sales for some time. Available on PC and Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass
offers subscribers access to a library of over 100 titles, including all first-party Xbox Game Studios
In addition to now having over 10 million subscribers, Microsoft notes that since March over 23 million friends have been added across Xbox Live by Game Pass members. A number that highlights the growing Xbox community. This of course points to an increase in multiplayer gaming, with the ANZ region seeing 163% growth in multiplayer games being players by Game Pass members across March and April.
The fascinating stats don't stop there with Microsoft adding that new members end playing 40% more games and that 90% of them will end up playing something they wouldn’t have tried without Game Pass. As per this report from Phil Spencer
that figure was determined by tracking play across various genres.
Another little tidbit, Microsoft's cloud game streaming technology, Project xCloud, is set to come to Xbox Game Pass later this year. Xbox Game Pass is available in 41 countries worldwide.
