With Naughty Dog posting on Twitter that "It’s disappointing to see the release and sharing of pre-release footage from development". The leak, which includes gameplay footage covering the full plot and level details for The Last of Us Part II, is rumoured to have come from a disgruntled employee at Naughty Dog. We don't know the reasoning, but speculation points to a culture of crunch at the studio as highlighted in a recent Kotaku report.

Which, again, is speculation. Since the leak Sony has been quick to take-down footage but several sources out there have collated all the major plot points - including several spoilers.

As per the above statement from Naughty Dog, "Do your best to avoid spoilers and we ask that you don't spoil it for others. The Last of Us Part 2 will be in your hands soon. No matter what you see and hear, the final experience will be worth it." With studio head Neil Druckmann adding, "Heartbroken for the team. Heartbroken for our fans. We’re still incredibly excited to get the game into your hands."

The Last of Us Part II is on track for release on June 19 for PlayStation 4.

I'm not interested in seeing spoilers but I have read that these leaks are pointing towards SJW garbage in the game so it has actually made me think twice about getting it straight away, especially with the unfair treatment Days Gone got simply because the lead character was "just another gruff white male" (actual IGN quote) despite the excellent voice and MoCap acting by Sam Witwer and strong writing.

It's a shame that even mentioning DG as GOTY last year in gaming pages on Facebook received laugh reacts let alone not even being mentioned in most nominations from gaming websites (but somehow neither did Bloodstained).
