That is, id Tech 4. An exciting fan creation no doubt but as you'll see in the 46 minutes of gameplay footage (after the jump), the head bobbing is insane. The mod has been in the works for years now and the latest release even makes it a standalone game that doesn't require Doom 3 to run.
You can grab Doom Reborn over at ModDB with the game weighing in at around 1.3GB. As it's running on id Tech 4, all environments and levels and demons are presented in full-3D in a presentation that is bright enough to not need Doom 3's flashlight in order to see things. Check it out.
Work on the mod is still ongoing, and for purists out there Bethesda's recent Doom 1 and 2 remasters are still available to play on every device. And a great tool to compare the two, with Doom Reborn being a faithful recreation of id Software's classic entries using it's engine tech from a decade later.
