Looks like the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is on the horizon as data mines and even leaked artwork point to its release as a standalone campaign or from within Modern Warfare. As per the title this looks to be a remaster of the campaign only and not multiplayer.
