Or as it's officially called - S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, the next installment in the classic first-person survival horror shooter series. Today comes the first in-game or in-engine screenshot showcasing the sort of bleak Eastern European environment we've come to expect, now with added strange anomaly.

In what is described as an energy phenomena -- or, as we call it 'a blue portal thingy'.

STALKER 2 was originally announced in 2018, and we can expect to get more info on the project throughout the year -- with the development team at GSC Game World stating that this will the most ambitious STALKER yet.

"The second chapter of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. saga will be our most ambitious game so far," reads a Facebook post. "It will live [up] to the legendary legacy. A lot of you are joining social isolation now. That’s why today, on a very special occasion, we are ready to slightly uncover the mystery of what we are working on."
