Also, it'll be cross-gen with a release covering PS4 and Xbox. And PC too. Described as an "RPG shooter", Outriders is the latest game from the studio behind Bulletstorm - People Can Fly - and Square Enix. So then, a co-op looter shooter? Well, yeah - but it's set in an expansive sci-fi universe and has been in development for the better part of four years.

Here's the full reveal trailer that showcases a mix of cut-scenes and in-engine action.

OUTRIDERS is an RPG shooter set in an original, dark and desperate sci-fi universe. As mankind bleeds out in the trenches of Enoch, you’ll create your own Outrider and embark on a journey across a hostile planet. With rich storytelling spanning a diverse world, you’ll leave behind the slums and shanty towns of the First City and traverse forests, mountains and deserts in pursuit of a mysterious signal. Combining intense gunplay with violent powers, along with an arsenal of increasingly twisted weaponry and gear-sets, OUTRIDERS offers countless hours of gameplay from one of the finest shooter studios in the industry.

As per the headline this is a cross-generation title and with the Holiday 2020 release window odds are it will be a launch game for both the PS5 and Xbox Series X. What would be awesome, if it somehow manages to had cross-play across both generations of hardware and platforms.

Stay tuned as we'll be bringing you more on Outriders - very soon.
