With latter being a somewhat cut-down version of that thing Battlefield has always had on PC - custom and private servers. Community Games will differ in that they will allow players to choose map-size, mode, and a few other features - that everyone can then search for with progression still available. Password protection is also being offered for groups too.

Community Games arrives tomorrow, with updates in the new year expected to bring the ability to customise classes, weapons, damage scaling, and things like friendly fire. For the full release plan, head here.

Which brings us to Wake Island - which as per this new breakdown trailer, looks incredible in Battlefield V. In what is being dubbed a return to the map that started it all.

Deploy on this horseshoe-shaped classic where American and Japanese forces fight for control over land, air, and sea.

The Wake Island map, free to all players, is set to arrive at the end of the week.
