With latter being a somewhat cut-down version of that thing Battlefield has always had on PC - custom and private servers. Community Games will differ in that they will allow players to choose map-size, mode, and a few other features - that everyone can then search for with progression still available. Password protection is also being offered for groups too.
Community Games arrives tomorrow, with updates in the new year expected to bring the ability to customise classes, weapons, damage scaling, and things like friendly fire. For the full release plan, head here.
