The info comes from a big
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare data-mine from
Redditor Senescallo, and reveals some of the big plans for the expected Battle Royale mode that is reportedly due sometime in 2020. As per the headline the map is so big that it will support up to 200-players, including solo, duo, and squads of four.
So big in fact that the map features Ground War and Spec Ops maps inside of it.
One of the mode's more interesting features is how it will treat respawns, which includes tokens and an actual Gulag that will house 1v1 duels for those looking to get back into the fight.
Respawn
Respawn Tokens can be looted. After one use, Respawn Tokens are disabled for the player.
To respawn a teammate, obtain a Respawn Token, then drop their body near an Ambulance. Once the body is dropped at the Ambulance, the player will enter the Gulag queue for a chance to win a 1v1 and respawn into the match.
At some point during the match, the Gulag will be closed and no longer usable, thus preventing respawns.
Once a player has respawned, they must locate and activate a Mobile Armory to retrieve their loadout.
The Gulag will allow spectators to watch the duels with a timer indicating how long until their fight. Also a jail break will happen that could potentially kick out players from the Gulag and into the fight. And yeah, you can also place bets on the duels.
There's quite a lot involved, including a detailed mission, perk, and loot system that was mined from current game data - so be sure to
head here to check it all out. With 200 players, a huge map, a Gulag, and other features - this joint Battle Royale production between Infinity Ward and Raven Software sounds very cool.
