And it looks beautiful in motion, with a Breath of the Wild style look and feel blended with fantasy and realistic looking fauna and animal life. Called Everwild, Rare Studio Head Craig Duncan notes that it is still early in development but the team is "focused on building an experience that allows for new ways to play in a natural and magical world". In other wordsd it will be a new and original experience ala Sea of Thieves.
With multiple human figures in the announcement trailer, there's also a good chance it will support multiple players.
"The development team, led by Executive Producer Louise O’Connor, is creating something truly original and incredibly special that aims to be more than just a new IP," Craig notes. "Everwild will give you memorable, engaging and meaningful experiences for players everywhere to share."
A cryptic description to be sure, so at this point it's hard to latch onto anything other than the beautiful visuals. Which, again, are quite stunning. No doubt Everwild, whenever it debuts will be released for Xbox Scarlett and PC.
