"We want you to know that we are having the same conversations about items and stats that you are having," writes Diablo IV Game Director Luis Barriga. "Getting this right is at the top of our minds." Playable at BlizzCon Diablo IV is already in a promising, and exciting, state. And Blizzard plans on keeping us all in the (loot) loop.

With an update on the action-RPG's itemisation and loot system coming in the next few weeks with systems designer David Kim set to answer some of the most burning questions out there. And in addition to this the team is gearing up to offer detailed quarterly updates on Diablo IV's development - starting in February of next year.

"We can tell from all the questions and excitement we’ve seen online and in-person that you are eager to find out more," Luis notes. Adding, "We’ll share behind-the-scenes looks at our progress going forward."

Very cool. It's great to see that Blizzard will be engaging with its fans throughout what could potentially be a long road until the game's release.

Let's just hope they consider & listen to the people most likely to be playing it too... In D3's development they kept wanting to completely dumb-down the skill tooltips so that "grandma could play".
