For those that were in attendance at BlizzCon or in possession of a Virtual Ticket. Announced alongside the new Descent of Dragons expansion, Hearthstone Battlegrounds pits eight players against each other in one-on-one minion battles until there's only one left standing. The Battlegrounds beta is expected to go live on November 12 (or 13 for us here in ANZ).

Battlegrounds will launch alongside a full tutorial so bear with me if the following descriptions sound more confusing that, you know, coherent. With 24 heroes to choose from player head to Bob's Tavern between rounds to purchase Minions or upgrade or sell what they have. Once you're all carded up, you then arrange them on the board, taking into account abilities and keywords, which then leads to the auto-battle where the cards will duke it out.

Naturally there's a lot more to it than that, and we'll be bringing you more on Hearthstone and Battlegrounds in the coming days.
