In its fifth annual showing, The Game Awards is set to make a return on December 12 - with the Los Angeles based awards show to be streamed live on more than 45 different platforms. Created and produced by industry veteran Geoff Keighley, in addition to awards handed out to the year's best in gaming, people can also expect new announcements.

"This year’s show will celebrate the act of creation," Keighley stated on Twitter. "As I turn the stage over to a group of visionary teams selected to share their new projects with you.”

More details on the event are set to be unveiled in the coming weeks. AusGamers has been on the judges panel for the show for years, and we're looking forward to checking this out. If only to to see besties Geoff Keighley and Hideo Kojima share the stage once again.
