With the turn-based tactics game now scheduled for December after being pushed back from September 3, 2019. As per a new developer update from Snapshot Games, "We know this is not our first delay, and we are very sorry to the fans who we know are highly anticipating getting their hands on Phoenix Point." Adding that the goal is to make something great and a tactical experience players will remember.

Phoenix Point sees XCOM creator Julian Gollop return to the genre he helped forge, with the title successfully crowdfunded in 2017 to the tune of $765,948 USD. Once again taking on an alien threat, Phoenix Point is aiming to expand on several key ideas and turn-based mechanics such as having the aliens mutate and adapt to player tactics.

Here's a detailed look at a mission from E3 2019.

And yeah, it's certainly looking good. Both visually and in terms of the strategic detail. There are high hopes for this one, so the extra bit of development time makes sense.
