And before you're wondering why something like Cyberpunk 2077 didn't win, to be eligible a game needed to be playable by judges - as we highlighted when the nominees were announced. In addition to Final Fantasy VII Remake other big winners include DOOM Eternal and The Outer Worlds.

That said, Cyberpunk 2077 did win a special award for 'Special Commendations for Graphics'. Here's the full list of winners.
