And it's open to anyone over the age of 18 and will cater for both online and offline participants - the latter to be held at a number of different conventions around the world. The official CD Projekt RED led competition calls for "the most authentic cosplay of an existing Cyberpunk 2077 character", with the winner getting a professional photo shoot for a magazine cover, a trophy, a copy of the game's Collectors Edition, and more as part of a $40,000 prize pool.
Visually Cyberpunk 2077 looks stunning, and its gritty neon-lit depiction of the future will no doubt lead to some excellent entries. The artistry that goes into cosplay is something that continues to impress, and this competition will no doubt spark global interest from a number of different communities.
The offline events will be held at:
Gamescom (Cologne, Germany), Aug. 21-24
PAX West (Seattle, USA), Aug. 31-Sep. 3
Tokyo Game Show, Tokyo, Japan, Sep. 12-15
Igromir (Moscow, Russia), Oct. 4-7
Paris Games Week (Paris, France), Oct. 30-Nov. 3
With a Grand Finale set to take place in early 2020 alongside 5 winners chosen from the online entries.

Competitors can use any CD PROJEKT RED-released trailers, gameplay videos, screenshots and art for the game as reference, or turn to the studio’s official Cyberpunk 2077 character guides, which will be made available soon.
