And it looks mostly terrible. Either the announcement trailer is heavily compressed or Contra Rogue Corps looks like an Xbox game. And that's original 2001 Xbox. Or PS2. And not a good one either with ugly environments, character designs, and even worse fire and explosion effects. After the impressive Contra Anniversary announcement, this is disappointing.



Presented via a new top-down isometric perspective, Contra Rogue Corps aims to capture the past-paced action and weapon-driven co-op combat of the series' past. At least that's the idea.

It's being developed in-house at Konami too, so no idea why it looks so, well, crappy. It's out relatively soon too with PC and console release dated for September 24, 2019.
