In March, Blizzard's partnership with GOG began with the DRM-free release of the original Diablo. For those that know there their Diablo history they'll remember the release of Diablo: Hellfire, an expansion pack for the game that was developed Synergistic Software and published by Sierra in 1997. Today comes word that the expansion is now part of Diablo on GOG - which is also discounted as part of the Summer Sale Festival.
Hellfire presents a single-player expansion to the core game, and includes the new Monk class alongside a new story, dungeons, and several new items and affixes and spells and even improvements to the UI. Interestingly Diablo: Hellfire is not currently playable on Battle.net so its arrival on GOG is great new for fans of the series as the release there now represents a complete Diablo experience.
And if you've already purchased Diablo on GOG it arrives for free. Very cool.
