Specifically the 2017 film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, which saw leads Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan become trapped inside a videogame. A Video Game inside a videogame. The teaser trailer doesn't do much other than showcase the likeness of the film's stars in a jungle setting, but we get a release date of November 15.

Check it out.

Jumanji: The Video Game puts you in control of Jumanji’s greatest heroes as they seek to find the precious Jewels of Jumanji, save the world and find a way home. What’s stopping them? Only a deadly array of exotic creatures, dangerous locations and an army of evil marauders.

Unite with up to three friends on this hilarious adventure in online or split-screen modes, as you tackle all new Jumanji environments and choose your hero from Dr. Smolder Bravestone, Ruby Roundhouse, Franklin “Mouse” Finbar or Professor Shelly Oberon and combine their unique abilities to keep one another alive.

Jumanji: The Video Game will be out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It's in development at UK studio Funsolve, in collaboration with Sony Pictures, Outright Games, and Bandai Namco. Sure, a game coming out a couple of years after the movie might sound weird - but Jumanji is now a film franchise that spans multiple generations thanks to the success of this new rendition and the 1990s original.
